RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage close process and create efficiencies and process improvements
Review journal entries and approve timely
Review account reconciliations, provide review comments and ensure completeness and accuracy of staff work
Participate in preparation of financial statements
Assist with financial statement analytics
Lead and/or help on special projects and assignments
Manage audit process, ensuring accuracy of support documents prepared by staff and act as key liaison for auditors
Participate in employee hiring, training, and motivation of the staff
Act as a liaison for tax preparers and assist in internal tax issues
Determine appropriate GAAP accounting treatments and prepare or review related technical memos
Assist with implementation and adherence to internal policies and controls
Responsible for acting as a liaison and assisting in reporting on monthly and year to date financial results and variance analysis to FP&A team.
Serve as the subject matter expert regarding other complex accounting topics; including but not limited to Internally Developed Software, Capital vs Operating lease classifications, Capital Leases, Fixed Asset Policy decisions, and multi-year agreements 
Manage accounting of foreign operations
Ability to evaluate and develop solutions for underlying processes impacting the corporate financial statements
Assist with the administration and review of FloQast on a monthly basis
Assist in testing, validation, and integration of new financial systems

QUALIFICATIONS 
Degree in accounting, business, or finance
Strong understanding of GAAP and technical research capabilities
5+ years of accounting experience
Experience managing, developing, and motivating staff
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic environment and multi-task
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficient with Excel and Outlook
CPA with public accounting experience required and Big 4 experience preferred
Self-motivated and self-managed - able to think independently and creatively in a fast-paced dynamic environment
Maturity and organizational savvy to work with corporate management 
Proven ability to work with minimal direction, as well as be resourceful and independent in solving problems 
Experience with complex accounting processes (e.g., revenue recognition, expense recognition, foreign currency translation, consolidation, stock-based compensation, business combination accounting, and capitalization of software development costs)
