Business Unit General Manager – Automotive Software

DealerSocket, a leader in automotive software, is seeking a Business Unit General Manager to provide strategic leadership and have P&L responsibility for a key business unit.  The GM will be responsible for 
creating and executing the business unit’s go-to-market strategy, product strategy and prioritization of the roadmap, and cultivating customer (automotive dealer and OEM) relationships to achieve best-in-class customer experience.

Develop, maintain and administer strong business and organizational plan for the business unit which includes an operating budget and product strategy / roadmap prioritization plans
Responsible for business unit P&L, achieving goals for bookings, revenue, and operating expenses within budget targets
Partner across functions and matrix-manage to achieve business unit’s priorities, key objectives, and results
Serve as a member of DealerSocket’s leadership team
Drive a lively and resilient entrepreneurial culture adept at navigating change
Track performance and provide accurate and timely forecasts / reporting on business unit metrics
Establish a strong performance management culture
Provide leadership through innovation, collaborating with sales, marketing, and technology leadership to identify key market opportunities and growth areas within the business unit
Acquire and integrate industry knowledge related to general trends, emerging technologies and competitors
Represent DealerSocket at industry events and customer meetings, support the sales and marketing teams and the customer success team in developing executive-level relationships 

15+ years of experience in sales, general management, product management, marketing for automotive software 
Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
Ability to operate and make timely decisions in an ambiguous, fast-paced, innovative environment 
Proven track record of consistently achieving sales targets on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Expert ability to engage and generate interest from c-level executives and drive initiatives forward
Innovative mindset to analyze and improve work processes
Strong communication skills verbally, in writing and via presentation
Ability to analyze data to predict trends and likely outcomes
Expert knowledge of or similar CRM software
Strong analytical skills, experience with data analysis, and ability to synthesize ideas into execution
Strategic and critical thinking mindset and capabilities
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
Must be able to travel as needed and relocate if required
