Associate Product Manager


The Associate Product Manager assists Product Leadership with the development of products by identifying potential products and enhancements; conducting market research; generating product requirements; determining specifications, production timetables, pricing, and time-integrated plans for product introduction; developing marketing strategies. 

Position Description/Responsibilities: 

Conduct detailed competitive product analyses to develop and evolve competitive advantage 
Assist Product Managers (Leads) in vision and roadmap analysis where needed, including data collection, attrition and new sales reporting, internal and external interviews. 
Seek out, collect and assure that the necessary marketing information is available to analyze and evaluate market potentials, parameters and customer needs 
Participate in key marketing development processes 
Analyze 'Point of Sale' data and report implications to Manager/Director 
Conduct customer interviews, determining if prior initiatives and future product enhancement initiative are of high value and are finding success. 
Assist in development of marketing activities that will promote customer satisfaction and achieve company performance objectives 
Assist product management in the collection and reporting of assigned Key Performance Indicators (KPI) 
Assist Product Managers and Product Directors in taking products from inception to delivery 
Active member of the Go To Market Product Launch team 
Propose and assist with the development of sales support materials including catalogs, price sheets, sell sheets, etc. 
Analyze sales trends by product line and segments to identify trends and changes in product life cycles 
Completes operational requirements as assigned within Product Department 
Validate product learning content as needed. 
Keep abreast of industry conditions and trends through direct contact and involvement with customers, industry insiders, for improved product marketing  
Assist with market tests and pilots 
Articulate and manage the factors that drive brand and product demand 

Position Qualifications 

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience 
Previous experience with product development, product management, or project management is preferred 
Experience translating business and customer needs into functional and technical requirements 
Experience and understanding of the automotive ecosystem including OEMs, dealers, national agencies and regional associations is a plus. 
A passion for design and user experience 
Attention to detail, superior time management 
Excellent verbal and written communication 
Track record of completing projects efficiently and successfully 
Curious, resourceful, open to wearing many hats 
Understanding of VersionOne, MS Suite, DealerSocket Suite of Products a plus
