Product Owner II

The Product Owner works closely with the Product Manager and is responsible for introducing and managing Epics / Stories / Defects within the team’s backlog, decomposing requirements and defining a definition of success that represents the vision of the organization. The product owner is a member of the scrum team, actively participates in sprints, and is consistently available to team members for questions, clarity, and understanding.  The position requires active grooming and prioritization of the product backlog, ensuring highest value items are being delivered in a timely manner.  The Senior Product Owner is responsible for short term road-map as well as interfacing with Customers. The Product Owner position requires strong people skills and good understanding of the product.

Essential Job Duties
Collect and process input from internal and external stakeholders to build strategic features/enhancements
Review and prioritized defects related to the team’s backlog
Coordinate consistent and timely grooming of team’s backlog
Drive feature / enhancement recommendations in relation to delivering forms in an efficient manner
Coordinate with external teams / stakeholders
Is a positive influence to unite teams to achieve success – has a “Can do” attitude
Maintain a holistic view of the product, never losing sight of the smaller details

Job Qualifications

Education
4+ year degree in business or technology
Minimum of at least 1 Product Management / Scrum Certification

Experience
3+ years of actual position experience as a PO / PM
Experience in SAAS field
Experience with agile software development processes, requirements management and project management
Excellent analytical abilities, organization and project/process management skills
Ability to convey vision through conversations / meetings / office tools
Demonstrate high degree of initiative and self-motivation
Comfortable meeting customers and partners 
Strong interpersonal skills; the ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of individuals at all levels of the organization
Effective formal presentation and facilitation skills in a variety of settings
Strong verbal and written communication skills
