Job Purpose
Summary
Engineering managers focus and develop their engineering team so they can meet the needs of the business and ensures their solutions work well within the overall system architecture. Engineering managers draw from their deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers and provide leadership for complex technology issues.
They are responsible for the administrative duties and management of software and test engineers. Engineering Managers are expected to work closely with product owners and scrum masters to ensure product backlogs are clearly identified, prioritized, and well understood by the teams.
